Land acknowledgement: Rekindle Health operates on the traditional and unceded territories of the Indigenous peoples of the Northwest Territories, including the lands of the Dene, Métis, and Inuvialuit peoples. We recognize that we are on Treaty 8 and Treaty 11 territory and acknowledge the deep histories, cultures, and ongoing relationships that Indigenous peoples have with this land.

We honour the resilience, wisdom, and contributions of all Indigenous Nations and communities across the NWT, and we are committed to engaging in meaningful relationships of reconciliation. This includes actively listening, learning, and working alongside Indigenous peoples to support the continued thriving of their communities.

As a health and wellness practice, we acknowledge that colonialism has profoundly shaped health systems and outcomes. We commit to ongoing conversations and actions that contribute to decolonizing health, ensuring that care is equitable, inclusive, and rooted in respect for traditional knowledge and ways of healing. We also recognize the land itself as part of the interconnected ecosystems of health and well-being and seek to honour and protect it in our work.

At Rekindle Health, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and are committed to advocating for justice and rights-based approaches to health and the social determinants of well-being. We invite dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning as we work toward a future where health systems truly support the dignity, sovereignty, and self-determination of all peoples..
